This is a class for the women refugees of Don Bosco. This course teaches sewing machine basics. sewing basic stitches, learning how to care & maintain a home sewing machine and more. Students will make several projects to reinforce the skill that they learn. Each student will receive a tool kit to keep. All materials needed for projects are included. Students are tested of knowledge and skills in order to receive a certification. Course include 3 - 3 hour sessions per week for 8 weeks.

Learn the tricks & tips to take a simple 9 - patch into a Disappearing 9- patch. Learn from Quilter Allison Saunders this fun technique to make a simple 9 patch into a beautiful new block. Use materials from our stash or bring your own - supply list is supplied with registration.
This is a 6 weeks class to complete the quilt top. 9/11 thru 10/16th Class Fee $ 45.00

Skills building for accuracy & speed using working examples, real work-room site tours included. Our Master Instructor; Nancy Peterson has a lifetime of skills & knowledge to share with you to assure you have real-life experiences in the commercial sewing world. This course is for the person interested in securing employment in sewing. The course consists of class lectures & labs. The course runs for 6 months. Course fee $1500 for 6 months - monthly payments available. Limited scholarships available - contact us for registration.

SEW-full STitcher is our community projects - 4th Tuesday of the Month @ 10-12 or 4-6, we work on one of our community projects. You will be provided with the quarterly project selection, materials, and a pattern if needed. Community projects are an item that we are making to donate to a local shelter or group such as; pillowcases, quilts, socks, etc. You can work on them at the Lab during open sew or take home to work on. Then quarterly there is a Rally Day - to bring us together to gather the finished items for distribution - Sewing it Forward!!
