Intro to Garments - this course is for the sewist wanting to refresh their skills and is also a part of our certification program. Discover the world of sewing with patterns. This class covers body measurements & sizing. Pattern selection. Learn to use the pattern for proper fabric selection, interfacings, notions and more. Learn to use the pattern for layout & cutting, marking, and construction. Complete a basic top including facings, darts, and hems during the course. For certification, home worksheets are required & final project will be graded. You will also create samples for future reference. Material & patterns may need to be purchased. Join our quilting group to complete the Heart of Kansas City Quilt project. The community of makers sewed the heart blocks and now it is ready to make a completed quilt.
