Snowman Hand Embroidery
– Enjoy learning the art of hand embroidery with Brenda Daily, while creating a fun wall quilt with a snowman center. This is a beginner level embroidery design and simple quilt block construction.
February designs is a whimsical standing snowman with added quilt blocks around. You can make into a wall or table quilt
Homework required to complete.
All materials provided.
4 – 2 hr. session $80

Start to Quilt – Learn the fundamentals of quilting while creating a table runner.
Course covers; color theory & print selection, basics in cutting with rotary tool system, block construction with proper seam allowance. You will make up to 4 different quilt block patterns while mastering proper construction as well as tips & tricks to sew with confidence.
Some homework required. Kits available or bring your own fabrics. (Kits $ 20.00)

This class contains students at different levels of sewing skills. This allows you to see many different types of garment construction - learning from each others challenges.
This course is NOT a job skills certification course but give you complete information to be successful with garment sewing.

T - shirt in 10 minutes –
Everyone wears t-shirts, come to learn to make a pattern to fit you and tips and tricks to construct a T-shirt in 10 with Cali Roberta.
You will be using a serger for construction and will draft a pattern to fit your body

Phase 1 Sewing Basics - Test Bag
This bag is designed to test the students skills in - reading and comprehension, layout & cutting, measuring & marking, sewing for accuracy , seam performance and zipper installation
This is a part of the Certification course of fundamental skills.

Phase 2 part 2 is a continuation of our Certification and Fundamentals course. This course covers the elements of garments such as textiles, darts & gathers, collars & cuffs, lining & interfacing, Waistbands, sleeves and more. Each week you will master different garment components making simple samples for your reference library.

Adding hand embroidery stitches allows you to add your own personality to any project. Learn basic hand embroidery stitches while creating a fun sampler.
* You will learn the Top 10 stitches including; Running stitch, cross stitch, the french knot.
* You will learn some tricks to make pattern transfer easy & learn how to use pre-printed designs

Brenda Daily, your instructor has been stitching for years. She will share many samples of different projects that can be enhanced with embroidery.
The class is held weekly - come for 1 week or come weekly to build your stitch library and skills.

Learn the history and process of Japanese Boro Stitching while creating re- purposed cloth and then constructing a cross-body bag.
Boro means, literally, "tatters". These were made by re-purposing carefully saved garment pieces and other hand-spun and indigo-dyed fabrics --- Makers used careful patching and sometimes intricate stitching to craft these textiles, mending the same item many times over many generations.
Bring a cherished or favorite garment that is no longer wearable and honor it by stitching a new object using the Boro stitch method.
Fiber Artist, Kris Smither, will guide you through the history and process of this mindful practice during a 3 session course to complete your bag.

Sewing Machine Operator Basics – Learn to use your new machine or refresh your skills.
This class is for first time sewing machine owners or someone who needs a refresher course. Learn the features of your sewing machine, how they work and what is their purpose. Learn sewing machine maintenance and proper selection of needles & thread.
Bring your machine and all its accessories & tools Workbook included. (Part of Phase 1 certification)

Sew-a-palooza - Sewing Saturday – March Workshop – Vintage Notions Frames
