Heather Jones
Board Member
Heather Jones joined the Board of Directors for The Sewing Labs in January 2026, bringing nearly two decades of strategic leadership, process engineering, and program execution to the organization.
Currently serving as the Lead Product Manager for Aviation Services at Garmin, she spearheads major digital ecosystems, drives cross-functional alignment, and cultivates high-value stakeholder relationships.
Throughout her career in aviation engineering and product management—including previous leadership roles at Cessna—she has specialized in building scaling frameworks, managing complex resource portfolios, and mentoring rising talent.
A passionate advocate for community growth, she also chairs Garmin’s Women’s Business Forum and serves as a volunteer leader and cellist within her local church and the Northland Symphony Orchestra.
Beyond her professional achievements, Heather’s connection to The Sewing Labs is deeply personal.
She is an accomplished seamstress and avid quilter who has never met a crafty activity she didn’t love.
She firmly believes in the transformative power of sewing to build self-sufficiency, dignity, and economic opportunity.
To stay active and grounded, she loves running, which helps her keep pace with her busy, vibrant household.
Heather lives with her dashing husband, two craft-loving teenage daughters, their two beloved cats (the best in the world!), and the sweetest dog that ever lived.
