Thalia Cherry is the CEO OF CHERRY, Inc., headquartered in Kansas City and a national licensed clothing and merchandise company, established in 2012. Cherry has more than 20 years of experience in the sporting and clothing manufacturing. Cherry designs and distributes licensed products, inclusive of customized apparel and accessories for Major League Baseball, Negro League Baseball and hundreds of collegiate and high school associations across the country. In 2020, the company extended the brand to retail outlets, such as Made in Kansas City (Plaza and Lees Summit) and Halls Crown Center. Cherry is the recipient of the following awards: Women Who Mean Business, Ebony Power 100, Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce (Top 10 Business of the Year), Greater Kansas City Chamber (Diverse Business of the Year) Thalia has significant experience in connecting and mobilizing key stakeholders to achieve collective goals. She served on the Google fiber project, Mayors’ Arts Council, Federal Reserve Bank- National savings campaign, North Kansas City and Hickman School District Strategic Planning Teams, Lees Summit School District Diversity Council and the following boards: Greater Kanas City Community Foundation-Eastland Affiliate, Arts Tech, Restart, Mountain Plains Minority Supplier Council, Girls on the Run Kansas City, Startland and most recent the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
